Superbly
situated on the shores of the Mawddach Estuary and set against
the spectacular backdrop of the Cadair Mountain Range, MIN-Y-DON
provides a unique setting for family and youth group holidays,
small conferences and retreats, and the perfect setting for residential
outdoor education courses for schools.
Located
on the southern edge of the Snowdonia National Park, the Centre
comprises a 13-acre estate of gardens and woodland that provide
a peaceful yet challenging environment in which to find Rest
and Relaxation or Adventure and Excitement.
In
1961 MIN-Y-DON was established as a Christian Outdoor Centre.
It is still family owned and run.
Our
purpose is to provide high quality holidays and courses for all
ages within the framework of traditional Christian family values
and standards.
MIN-Y-DON
is a inter-denominational Christian centre. We welcome groups,
families and individuals of any faith or background. For family
holidays a simple epilogue is held each evening in the lounge.
This usually comprises of a song, sketch, Bible reading and a
short talk.
We
place no pressure whatsoever on our guests to accept the Christian
viewpoint.
MIN-Y-DON
has a variety of accommodation including Twin, Single, Family
rooms and Dormitories - many en-suite - and is able to accommodate
up to 50 guests.
MIN-Y-DON
has many additional features including a comfortable guest lounge,
small library, tennis court, putting green, Games Room and Environmental
Studies Room.
